Chapter Eleven — Saturday Night Frolics
It’s not what you may be thinking! Get your mind out of the gutter!
A fly entered the camper. Not a difficult feat, because we have to swing the door wide open to ascend the stairs, multiplied by two slow people.
The fly buzzed us a few times and we grabbed the fly swatter. Every time the fly would land, it would be in an area that was smaller than the width of the swatter. Or on top of the valance that has maybe 2" of clearance above it. This was no dumb fly.
We chased it around for a good hour and a half, the fly always eluding us. So I resorted to Pinterest… “how do I kill a fly?” The most logical answer was Windex!! Of course, did we have any? No. But I did have a bathroom cleaner spray. He finally landed in a spot where I was able to spray him several times, rendering his wings useless, and the fly met his demise.
Then we started laughing…what do two old farts do on a Saturday night? Go fly swatting. I can think of a million better things to do!!
