Chapter Fifteen — The Chopper
Being the granddaughter of a barber, cutting hair must be in my blood. In high school, I’d often style friends’ hair for dances and proms. But mom advised it’s a tough career cause people are picky about how their hair is cut, blah, blah, blah. So I forwent my thoughts of becoming a hairdresser and just continued my “practice” on Sweetie. I enjoy cutting his hair, and would have here at the camper, except I forgot my electric trimmer and only had my scissors.
Sweetie was getting pretty long and decided to go to the barbershop in town. He came home and I was shocked at what a bad job that barber did!! He was not happy and even now, about two months ago, his hair still sticks out and instead of laying nicely. He’ll have to wait a few more weeks til we move and I find my trimmer. Maybe by then his hair will grow out enough for me to give him a decent hair cut.
